Scottsdale, Ariz. – You’d expect a place named after Europe’s oldest golf tournament to be viewer friendly for sports fans. At the British Open Pub, that’s exactly what you’ll get.
The “Bop” as regulars call it, has something for everyone. Whether it’s authentic English food like fish and chips, traditional American comfort food, a massive selection of beers from around the world or simply a fun pub to watch the day’s biggest sporting events, it’s the spot for foodies and sports fans alike.
And fans of English sports can discover a real sports haven at the British Open Pub. Whether its English Premier League football, rugby, European Tour golf or Formula One race coverage, the pub shows it all – including all televised American sports like NFL, NBA, NHL and Major League Baseball.
“We’re sports nuts at the Bop,” said owner Gregg Troilo. “If it’s being broadcast, we’re going to show it. And we have a pretty large base of English sports fans who will show up to watch their favorite teams.
Golf and EPL soccer are favorites at the British Open Pub and Troilo regularly posts specials for the game’s oldest and most prestigious golf tournament, the British Open, as well as for Barclays Premier League coverage as the season winds down in May.
“We’ve got expanded soccer channels, 10 high-definition televisions and seven cable boxes,” Troilo said. “Anything a sports fan wants to see they can catch here at the Bop.”
The British Open Pub is located at 1334 N. Scottsdale Road in Scottsdale, Arizona, on the southwest corner of Scottsdale and McDowell roads.
